Vietnam Family Adventure: 10 Days of Culture, Cuisine, and Scenic Wonders

Arrival in Hanoi Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, your family will be greeted by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, exploring the city alone or relaxing after your flight.

Hanoi City Tour After breakfast, start your Hanoi city tour with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, which includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, and Ho Chi Minh Museum. Next, visit the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. After lunch, take a cyclo tour through the Old Quarter, stopping at the Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. End the day with a water puppet show, a traditional art form unique to Vietnam.

Halong Bay Cruise After breakfast, leave Hanoi and drive to Halong Bay, one of the most scenic areas in Vietnam. Board a traditional junk boat and set sail among the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of the bay. Enjoy a seafood lunch on board and explore the Sung Sot Cave. Later, go kayaking or swimming, and watch the sunset from the deck of the boat.

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over Halong Bay, and participate in a Tai Chi session on the deck of the boat. After breakfast, cruise back to the pier and drive back to Hanoi. In the afternoon, fly to Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam.

Hue City Tour Visit the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore its many palaces, temples, and gardens. After lunch, visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the highest pagoda in Hue. Take a boat ride on the Perfume River to see the sunset, and enjoy a traditional royal dinner with Hue specialties.

Drive to Danang, stopping at the Marble Mountains and the Cham Museum en route. Upon arrival in Hoi An, check in to your hotel and take a walking tour of the ancient town. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Tan Ky Old House, and the Hoi An Museum of History and Culture. In the evening, explore the night market and try some street food.

Take a day trip to the My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom from the 4th to the 13th centuries. Explore the temples and learn about the ancient culture of the Cham people.

Hoi An Free Day Spend the day at leisure in Hoi An, exploring the town on your own or relaxing at the beach. Optional activities include a cooking class, a bike ride through the countryside, or a boat trip on the Thu Bon River

Danang – Ho Chi Minh City Fly to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam. After checking in to your hotel, take a city tour that includes the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office.

Mekong Delta Day Trip Take a day trip to the Mekong Delta, known as the "rice bowl" of Vietnam. Visit the Cai Be floating market, where vendors sell fruits and vegetables from their boats, and take a boat ride through the canals of the delta. Visit a local family's home to learn about their daily life and enjoy a home-cooked lunch.
