Morning:
8:00 am: Meet your tour guide at your hotel lobby, and head to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where you will see the embalmed body of Vietnam's former leader Ho Chi Minh.
After that, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a historic Buddhist temple built in 1049.
Next, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, and a beautiful example of traditional Vietnamese architecture.
Take a break and enjoy Bun Cha as lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon:
Visit the Museum of Ethnology, where you will learn about the diverse ethnic groups that make up Vietnam through exhibitions of traditional clothing, crafts, and artifacts. The museum also features a recreated village with traditional houses and gardens.
Continue to the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, located in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter, where you can learn about the legend of the lake's mythical turtle and visit the temple dedicated to General Tran Hung Dao.
Take a cyclo ride around Hanoi's Old Quarter, where you can observe the bustling street life and old architecture. A cyclo is a traditional Vietnamese bicycle taxi with a passenger seat attached to the front.
