It takes about 2 hours to drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi Ben Duoc. The tour guide will provide you with information about the history and culture of Vietnam along the way.
Upon arrival at Ben Duoc tunnels, take visit the tunnels and learn about the intricate system that the Viet Cong used during the Vietnam War. The tour guide will explain how the tunnels were used for communication, supply routes, and living quarters for the soldiers.
Then, walking through the jungle, including a visit to the underground living quarters, weapon caches, and trap doors, and understanding how the tunnels were constructed and used by the Viet Cong. Moreover, you also have a great opportunity to crawl through a section of the tunnels (for those who are physically able and willing)
Take an optional visit to the shooting range, where you can fire a variety of weapons used during the Vietnam War, such as the M16, AK47, and M60.

The Ben Duoc Tunnels were a fascinating experience that gave me a deeper understanding of the Vietnam War. The tour guide was very informative and provided a great insight into the tactics used by the Viet Cong. Firing the weapons was definitely a highlight and made the experience even more memorable. Lunch at the local restaurant was a great way to end the tour, with some delicious and authentic Vietnamese dishes.

I highly recommend visiting the Ben Duoc Tunnels as they offer a less touristy experience compared to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave a great insight into the history of the tunnels and the Viet Cong’s guerrilla tactics during the war. Firing the weapons was a surreal experience and added to the overall authenticity of the tour. The local restaurant we had lunch at was delicious and provided a great opportunity to try some traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
