Pick up at the hotels in the city center of Ho Chi Minh City and depart for Can Gio.
Upon arrival in Can Gio, hop on a canoe for a beautiful ride through the mangrove forest, unique vegetation, and fishing activities of the locals.
Then, visit the Bat Swamp, which is a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve that is a part of the Can Gio Mangrove Forest. One of the best ways to explore the Bat Swamp is through a boat excursion. Take a tour of the waterways and channels so they might see the mangroves up close and spot different species of wildlife.
The canoe keeps moving toward Vam Sat and explores the Bird Sanctuary, which was honored by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in 2004. More than 20,000 birds of 26 distinct species live there. Observe the birds in their natural habitat, perched on branches or wading in the shallow waters. Take in the breathtaking sight of bird flocks flying off and settling in the sanctuary's waters, which produces a symphony of hues and noises.
Drive an electric vehicle to the Crocodile Conservation Reserve. You can take an interest in the adventurous activity of "Crocodile fishing on a boat" and discover about the crocodile egg incubation cycle here. The thrill of trying to catch a crocodile while in the safety of the boat makes this sport exciting and risk-free.
Afterward, take a boat ride to observe the Long-tailed Macaque monkey population living in their natural habitat, which is very mischievous but also hospitable to humans.
Continue to conquer the Tang Bong Tower to take in the aerial panorama of the whole Can Gio Mangrove Forest Biosphere Reserve. It is a 26-meter-high observation tower that was built to provide visitors with a distinctive view of the mangrove forest to help them experience the beauty and diversity of the ecosystem.
Enjoy lunch at Vam Sat Restaurant. Then you can wander down the path through the forest, take on the tricky suspension bridge, visit the amiable herd of deer...
Embark on the canoe and head back to the boat station. Return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop off at the hotels.

The Can Gio day trip was a great escape from the city. The Bat Swamp was a bit spooky with all the bats flying around, but still a must-see. The Bird Sanctuary was amazing and we saw so many different kinds of birds. The electric vehicle ride to the Crocodile Conservation Reserve was fun and informative, and we even got to see the crocodiles being fed. Seeing the Long-tailed Macaque monkeys living in their natural habitat was also a highlight. Climbing the Tang Bong Tower was a bit challenging, but the view from the top was breathtaking.
